This past Friday I made an attempt to prepare a whole turkey. To my surprise it turned out bomb! I mean….of course I had to get a few tips from my granny, which is why it turned out great. Lol! Now, I’ll know how to get it just right on my own possibly. This was a huge turkey I think maybe like 11lbs. I initially wanted to slow cook it, unfortunately it was too big for crockpot. So, I cooked it at 325 for about 5 hours. I’ve sliced up all the meat. This will be used for just about anything. Sandwiches, tacos, soups, etc and whatever I see fit.
I’ve been thinking about moving more towards a plant based diet. I just feel lighter and more energetic when I’m not consuming a lot of meat. I also think it may be healthier for many reasons. However, I may always have a soft spot for Hooters, Buffalo Wild Wings, and tacos from the Mexican hood spots. So, for dinner on Thursday I made a veggie pizza. I pretty much just used whatever I had in fridge. It was pretty good. I used goat cheese that I’d been wanting to try cooking with. It tastes amazing on pizza. Will definitely be using goat cheese more!
